1853 - March 30, Vincent was born in Zundert, The Netherlands. Pioneered the Expressionism.
1869-1878 - Worked as an art dealer but because of Eugénie Loyer (his land lady's daughter) rejection his employment as an art dealer ended on the 1st of April 1876. As a preacher he then studied, but failed, a three-month course at the Protestant missionary school (Vlaamsche Opleidingsschool) in Laeken, near Brussels.
1879-1880 - Traveled to BRinage and Brussels where he tried to live as a commoner but did not appealed to the church which denied him of priesthood. In 1880 he followed the advise of his brother to atend the Royal Academy of Art where he studied anatomy, standard rules of perspective and modelling of art.
1890 - July 29 in Auvers-sur-Oise, France, he committed suicide.
- Created paintings "The Potato Eaters" 1885, "Sunflowers" 1888, "Wheatfield with Crows"
- He created 900 paintings and 1100 drawings in the past 10 years of his lifetime, the most well known of his painting and drawing was during the last two years of his life.
